A Nonlinear Narrative Creation of 
Myth and Ritual

This work illustrates the transformation of inner speech and thoughts from invisible faith into visible experience though bodily embodiment and environmental sounds. As the sociologist Durkheim once said, "If religion has given birth to all that is essential in society, it is because the idea of society is the soul of religion." Religion reflects the values of a society and affects the way people think and behave in its own unique way. Since religious belief is an invisible subject rooted in culture and society, it is through human body and the involvement of music and visible objects that people can transform these conceptual ideas into personal experience.

As Merleau-Ponty believes, "The body is our general medium for having a world. " By constructing our own unique perception, people can translate it into shareable information, making religious faith a way of reflecting the society. This work thus aims at visualizing the process from the perception of religious concepts, the music and sounds in religious rituals, the experience with visible objects, to the resonance of the mutual feelings with other members in the society, showing the intertwine relationships among belief, music, objects, and physical engagement.
